PBIS at Willowbrook
RAMS Way
PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. PBIS is a school-wide program designed to teach students appropriate expectations and reinforce positive choices in order to help all students be safe and successful at Willowbrook. You will probably hear your child talk about the RAMS Way. This stands for:
Respect - Act Responsibly - Motivated Learner - Safety
Respect - Act Responsibly - Motivated Learner - Safety
At the start of each school year, all students walk around the building with their class to various stations to learn about expectations for that part of the building. This includes common areas like restrooms, playgrounds, hallways, and the cafeteria.
Positive choices are reinforced throughout the year through:
- Tickets (which can be used to purchase small items from a cart each month)
- Classroom rewards when the whole class earns "W's" (for Willowbrook) on a class poster
- Lunch Luau (earn a special ticket to sit in a special, decorated location during lunch the next day)
- School-wide assemblies and celebrations
- Positive Referrals (RAMS Stars, Principal Office Positives)
